If you suspect a leak right now, do not email
Carbon monoxide and combustible gas are emergencies, and this is a research site, not a service. If an alarm is sounding or you suspect a leak, leave the building and call your local emergency number or your gas utility's emergency line from outside. Nothing on this site, and no reply to an email, substitutes for that.
What is worth writing about
- A certification or registry claim on this site that does not match what the source says. Those are the claims most worth correcting, and the fastest to check. Include the page and what you found.
- A product whose specifications changed, or that is no longer sold.
- A broken link, a wrong number, or a page that contradicts another page.
What this site cannot do by email
- Interpret your readings or tell you whether your home is safe. A number from a detector needs the context of your building, and that is a conversation for a qualified professional, not an email.
- Recommend a device for your specific situation beyond what the published pages already say.
- Accept paid placement, sponsored coverage, or review units in exchange for coverage.
